For the fourth consecutive year, the sweet scents and flavors of forest honey are attracting local and foreign visitors to Fužine. The sweetest September festival will take place from September 2nd to 3rd in the picturesque village of Lič! Medun is a premium bee product characteristic of Gorski Kotar, created by diligent bees from honeydew. It is rich in antioxidants, amino acids, minerals, and contains folic acid and iron. In recent years, its value has been recognized more than ever, along with its excellent gastronomic potential, which gives the event its distinctive character.
A Rich Program for All Ages
The popular “happy & healthy” festival will kick off on Saturday morning with a family hike led by the experienced team from the Lynx and Fox association – Croatian hiking tour guides. The hike will take you to Preradović Hill and on a great tour through the entire Medun Fest. Young and old recreational enthusiasts will enjoy nature, have fun, and learn a lot throughout the day. Advance registration is required for this adventure.
In Lič – the epicenter of the event – expect exhibitions, presentations, and fun workshops about bees. The first forest honey cocktail will be introduced, and visitors can taste ice cream for free. The little ones will be attracted to the fun zone with inflatables and shepherd’s games that adults will also enjoy. The all-day program will be hosted by the food blogger Ribafish. The rich offering of local products from our family farms will not be missing this year; Kvarner wines will be presented, and an unforgettable gastronomic experience awaits us! Three culinary masters will showcase their skills in preparing delicacies with Medun, including our own Boris Kauzlarić. We will welcome the evening with an exceptional musical program!

Rijeka Residents, Hop on the “Honey Train” All residents of Rijeka and those in the vicinity can take the “Honey Train” to Fužine on September 2nd. The train departs from the main Rijeka railway station at precisely 15:50, with the return trip a few hours later, at 20:35.
